Here is the Zombie Novel Word of the Day:
Zombie: A zombie or zombi is a reanimated corpse. Zombies are undead corpses brought back from the dead by supernatural or scientific means, and are rarely under anyone's direct control. They typically have very limited intelligence, and hunger for the flesh of the living.

National Novel Writing month was a wash. I did some work on the Agent Red novel, did work on my short story, The Church of the Yellow Starfish and spent time editing Beneath an Ocean of Air.
It is hard to say if I hit the goal of 50,000 words. I would imagine not.
English 184: Advanced Manuscript Writing started on January 17th. During the 13 weeks of class I'll be working on those same three projects, mostly concentrating on Agent Red.
Along with the novel, I'll also start finally updating this blog for real. Mostly I'll be doing a running tally of new pages and chapters and starting up the "Zombie Novel Word of the Day".

Ten days into the 2007 NaNoWriMo and my total word count is around 7491, which is right on track for my normal writing pace (about 3 double spaced pages a day).
That puts me right on track to finish the Agent Red novel by February 2nd. (My unofficial deadline.)
After Agent Red I'll spend the next 13 weeks working on another novel during the Advanced Manuscript Writing (Novel Writing) class offered at Glendale Community College every Spring Semester. I take this class every other year as a chance to get out of the house and to help start or push forward a project.

November 1st. It is time for NaNoWriMo again. Who is playing? I'm not reaching for the 50,000 words in a month goal but, I am working on the Agent Red novel this month and I'm going to use NaNoWriMo as an excuse to push ahead full steam on Agent Red.
Day 1 word count was 498 words.

While it is just a small personal victory, I sold ten autographed copies of The Undead 2: Skin & Bones. Thanks everyone!
Backtracking a little to an older idea, my current project is the second chapter of Lost Tales from Ursa Major. The first chapter, The Claws that Catch, found Rux and the members of the 101st deploying a Jurassic weapon in Carentan and the second chapter, Stalking the Paradox, finds the 101st in Bastogne searching for the ship that fell from the sky amid random mortar barrages from the Meat.
